  • Able to perform job duties while sitting down and/or standing up at a computer workstation for long periods of time

These opportunities are for full-time positions; working 5 days / 40 hours per work week.  The hourly compensation varies based on experience and a competitive benefits package will be offered.  Candidates must pass a computer assessment, drug test and background check.  Some positions also require a Federal and/or client-issued background check and proof of U.S. citizenship.

Data Entry and Proofing Clerk- Sarasota

This position is available at our Sarasota, FL location. Responsibilities include converting documents and checking to make sure there are no content or formatting errors, utilizing the Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Compare features.

  • Proof converted documents against originals to ensure accurate conversion and to identify any missing or altered text.
  • Reviews work performed by Team Members against client submissions to ensure proper placement of styles, edits, tables and other formatting.
  • Performs full read/word-for-word proofreading to ensure there are no content or critical errors.
  • Adherence to client guidelines on formatting, include:
    • Tables, borderlines, alignment, styles, and font sizes.
    • Header and footer text, even and odd page variations, page numbers, and text borders.
    • Table of Contents and Indices.
    • Typographical, grammatical, and punctuation errors.
  • Responsible for table formatting and combining existing text from PDF to Word.
  • Returns marked proof to Team Member for corrections.

The following skills are required in order to successfully perform the responsibilities of this position:

  • Superior attention to detail and excellent concentration.
  • Able to work methodically, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Proactively manage simultaneous projects while working in a fast-paced environment to meet pressing deadlines.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in the Microsoft Office environment including above average skills in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Able to perform job duties while sitting down at a computer workstation for long periods of time.

This opportunity is for a full-time position; working 5 days / 40 hours per work week. The hourly compensation for this position is $12.00 per hour. Financial Team Member- Seffner

As a business to business provider, Braille Works employees have an impact on “Making The World A More Readable Place™,” by producing reading materials for people who are blind and visually impaired. We continue our years of consistent growth with a full-time opportunity for you to join the team! This position is available at our Seffner, FL location.

Financial Team Members are responsible for processing statements, letters, publications and other documents received from banks and other financial institutions across the country into specialized Large Print, Braille, Audio and Data file formats. The following is required, but not limited, in order to successfully perform the responsibilities of this position:

  • 2 Years of Office and Administrative Support Work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat and willingness to learn custom-developed software.
  • Comfortable working within a continuously changing environment.
  • Able to comply with tight deadlines and meet specific goals established by clients.
  • Ability to approach new challenges as learning opportunities.

Candidates MUST be able to pass the following in order to be considered:

  • A computer assessment (Microsoft Word)
  • A standard and a client-issued background check
  • A drug test

This opportunity is for a full-time, 5 day, 40 hour work week. The compensation for this position is paid based on experience and starts at $12.00/hour.
