Allyant Strengthens Accessible Communications Portfolio with Acquisition of Braille Works

Acquisition more than doubles Allyant’s accessible alternative format production capability, expanding expertise and capacity while reinforcing its commitment to accessible communications.

Ottawa, Ontario—September 14, 2026: Allyant, the leading provider of accessible document, digital, and alternative format print communications solutions, today announced its acquisition of Braille Works, a trusted provider of accessible alternative format communications, including braille, large print, audio, and accessible PDFs. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition builds upon Allyant’s established alternative format business, more than doubling its production capability while expanding its specialized expertise. This acquisition will help organizations meet evolving accessibility expectations while delivering communications in the alternative formats their audiences need.

“We’ve admired Braille Works for many years, not only because of the quality of its work, but also because of the values the organization represents,” said Ariel Kunar, CEO of Allyant. “The founders have built a remarkable company founded upon the belief that everyone deserves equal access to information. We’re honored to build on that legacy while expanding our ability to help organizations deliver accessible communications with greater expertise, capacity, and confidence.”

Founded in 1994 by Joyce and Lou Fioritto, Braille Works has helped organizations make information accessible for people who are blind or who have low vision. Rooted in a shared commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service, the company has earned the trust of organizations across healthcare, financial services, government, education, and the private sector.

“We’re humbled by what our employees and customers have helped us build over the past three decades,” said Robert Sket, CEO of Braille Works. “As we begin this next chapter, we’re confident Allyant will continue that legacy by investing in the people, expertise, and innovation needed to help organizations make accessibility part of every communication.”

As organizations navigate an increasingly complex regulatory landscape, they are looking beyond point solutions and toward partners that can support accessibility across every customer touchpoint. By bringing Braille Works’ expertise together with Allyant’s broader accessibility portfolio, the combined organization strengthens its ability to support customers across digital experiences, documents, software, accessible alternative formats, testing, compliance, and ongoing accessibility governance.
