Transcribing Braille Documents

Braille Works transcribes materials in many languages including English, Spanish, French, Italian, and German. Our braille transcription process meets or exceeds the standards set forth by the Braille Authority of North America (BANA) and all of the braille documents we produce retain the content and context of the original document.

Grade 1 (uncontracted) and Grade 2 (contracted) are the two most common types of braille. Here at Braille Works we typically transcribe documents in contracted Grade 2 braille. However, Grade 1 braille transcription is also available upon request.
