What’s the Medicare Advantage Disenrollment Period Mean to You?

  • You must have a Medicare Advantage plan and be willing to return to the Original Medicare Plan.
  • The disenrollment period is January 1, 2016 to February 14, 2016.
  • You cannot switch to another Medicare Advantage Plan during this period.
  • The date of disenrollment will be the 1st of the following month (example: you dis-enroll on January 20, 2016, the effective date will be February 1, 2016).
